With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph McConnell of Orlando, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 14, 2025 at the age of 97. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonidas and Lela (Bryan); and his wife Romona Shepard. He is survived by: his siblings, Mae Grace (Correll), Leonidas John, Jr. (Junior), Ruby Etta (Lanier), Billy Gene and James Wayne; his children, Joan Diller (McConnell) and Bryan McConnell; his daughter-in-law Cheryl McConnell; his granddaughters, Ashley Diller and Christina McConnell; his great grandchildren, Star and Serenity; his stepgrandson Daniel Baldwin; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Eva and Olivia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
