She is survived by: her daughters, Brooke Burns and Brittney Donovan; her son-in-law Drew Donovan; her grandchildren, Carter Donovan, Logan Donovan and Tripp Donovan; her mother Virginia Alderman; her sister Julie; her brother-in-law Tim Willis; and her nieces, Shelby Bealey and Emily Ridgeway.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Memorial.

“Karen and I worked together and became friends. She was loyal and superior in her work. She loved dashing away for some down time at the beach every chance she could get but more importantly she loved her family. She was so proud of her daughters and loved being able to spend time with her grandsons. She admired the strength of her Mom and enjoyed her sister time when they could get together. She not only loved life but she lived it and she made me laugh. I will miss her.”
