It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mattie Gainley (Orlando, Florida), born in Nicholls, Georgia, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Mattie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mattie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Robert Allen Gainley; her son Roger Allen Gainley; her grandsons, Steven Wireman (Deanna) and Jonathan Wireman (Heather); and her great grandchildren, Adriana Wireman and Stevie Wireman.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Carolina Memorial Gardens.
