Montez Shearer Fortinberry Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Montez Shearer Fortinberry of Orlando, Florida, born in Indianola, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Shearer and Thelma Shearer; her husband James Fortinberry; and her siblings, Peggy Durham and Bill Shearer.
She is survived by: her children, Jim (Dana), Dianne and Eric (Renee); and her grandchildren, Dr. Serena Fisher, Miki Fortinberry, Jimi Fortinberry, Nick Fortinberry (Kristy), Amy Brunat (David), Justin Roy and Lauren Roy. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dover Shores Baptist Church (551 Gaston Foster Rd, Orlando, FL 32807). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
If preferred, in lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Dover Shores Church or Vitas Healthcare.
