He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Hatcher and Mary Hatcher; his wife Mary Alice Hatcher; and his siblings, Eliza Blankenship, Joyce Ellerbee, Linda Cardwell, Dillard Hatcher, Jerry Hatcher, Samuel Hatcher, Clarence Hatcher, Walter Hatcher and George Hatcher.
He is survived by: his sister Betty Berkey; his daughters, Mary Renee Squires, Merrell Lynn Palmer (John D. Palmer II) and Cheryl Ann Meadors (Tod Meadors); and his grandchildren, Thomas J Squires Jr. (Samantha Squires), Twyla Lopez, Timothy Squires (Ashley), J. D. Palmer and Emily M. Palmer.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ (9521 6th Ave, Orlando, FL 32824). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Taft Memorial Cemetery (501 W Landstreet Rd, Orlando, FL 32824).
