He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Nicholas and Ola Nicholas; his siblings, Joe (Mary Jane), Lorena, Francis (Birnell), John (Jane), Dan and Willie Sue (Melvin); and his daughter-in-law Patricia Lea Crawford Nicholas.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Marie Davis Nicholas; his brother Walter (Ruth); his children, William "Chip" Nicholas and Tamra "Tammy" Nicholas; and his grandchildren, Julia and Scott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
