He is survived by: his wife Ferne Adair Howell; his daughter Lori Howell Bly (Martin); his granddaughter Hayley Bly Morgan (William); his sister Patricia Howell Tate (Jon); his nephew Jon; his grandsons, David Howell Perkins and Grant Howell Perkins; and his great grandchildren, Maxwell and William Perkins.
