He was predeceased by: his parents, Webster Hackney and Goldy Hackney of Sissonville, WV; his spouse Shirley Hackney of Ormond Beach, FL; and his children, Ray Hackney of Daytona Beach, FL and Patricia Hackney of Bunnell, FL.
He is survived by: his stepson Chad Hackney of Pinch, WV.; his granddaughters, Cynthia, Crystal Hackney of Ormond Beach, FL, Tracey Russell of Belle, WV and Laura King (Gary King Jr.) of Charleston, WV; and his great grandchildren, Kyle, Camren, Alyssa and Kay.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home (1325 W Washington St, Charleston, WV 25302). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
