He was predeceased by: his parents, John Erthal and Theresa Erthal (Melady). He is survived by: his wife Mary Yerkes; his children, Mary Harrington (Larry), Kathleen Erthal (Kym Allen), Megan Pellicer (JB) and John (Andrea); his grandsons, Westin Pellicer, John Erthal IV, Jacob Erthal and Larry Harrington; and his siblings, Michael (Marybeth), James (Therese), Daniel, Donna Windfelder (Eugene), Marianne Troncelliti and Theresa Dolan (Jody). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
