He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Gerald Cutter and Mary Gruttandaurin Cutter. He is survived by: his wife Cecilia; his children, Kathy Taylor, Harris, Ellen Hartz, Stephen Cutter (Marge), Tom Cutter and Donal Cutter; and his grandchildren, Michael Pinon (Alisha), Michelle Bury, Dana Kqira, Curt Hartz, Chris Cutter (Lori), Tommy Cutter, Sara Wong (Chung) and Paula Vargas (Ed). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
He later founded the Sgt. John Basilone Foundation.
