He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde E. Story and Jean Bass Story; and his siblings, Sherry Evans (Earl), Robyn Planchard and Wade Story.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Wells Story; his children, Katrina Scarborough (Jeremy Bowen) and Chad Story (Sasha Britenriker); his grandchildren, Timothy Winfrey, Chase Winfrey (Dara Dampier), Ty Winfrey, Caleb Story, Caden Scarborough (Julie Hicks), Landon Story, Victoria Bowen, Haley Motley and Bret Britenriker; his great grandchildren, Skylar Winfrey and Cane Winfrey; his siblings, Dirk Story (Betsy) and Melanie Alonso (Gerry); and his friend Allen Whitston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home (511 W Emmett St, Kissimmee, FL 34741). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel, Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home (511 W Emmett St, Kissimmee, FL 34741).
