He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Joanna; his siblings, Delores and Howard; and his brother-in-law Bobby Macks. He is survived by: his son David Scott Rivers (Shelley); his grandchildren, Tammy Patterson (Brian), Ryan Rivers (Tiffany) and Marissa Lakaria (Omar); and his sisters, Juanita Macks and Patricia Jarrell.
