He was predeceased by: his wife Laura Kaip; his parents, John Kaip and Ruth Kaip; and his brothers-in-law, Steven Tomory and Mathew Guttman.
He is survived by: his children, Penny Carter (Larry) and Winfred Lavender (Crystal); his granddaughter Crystal Collins; and his siblings, Ernest Kaip (Linda), Monica Tomory and Katherina Guttman. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three nieces.
