He was predeceased by: his wife Faye Blackwell; his daughter Connie Eller; his granddaughters, Amie Hadder and Britney Wiggins; and his siblings, Verlia Wheeler and William Blackwell.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Melton (Joel), Marsha Hadder (Steve), Larry (Dayle) and Bobby; and his brother Carl Blackwell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
