It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mavis Gallegos of Pace, Florida, who passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cary Durden and Pearl Durden; her husband Carlos T. Gallegos; and her son Ricky Gallegos. She is survived by: her daughters, Carla Harlan, Jacqueline Gallegos-Portokalis and Judith Gallegos; her grandchildren, Jennifer Fedora, Ross and Erika Loney; and her great grandchild Jacob Fedora.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Magnolia Cemetery (222 N Park St, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433).
