She was predeceased by: her parents, William Milton Mullis and Ruth Fisher Mullis; and her sister Phyllis Mullis Lineberger. She is survived by: her husband Leslie J. Burney; her children, Jack (Mandy) and Amber; her grandchildren, Abby Symonds, Blake Symonds, Jacob, Maegan Burney and Natalie Burney; and her niece Laura Lineberger King. She is also survived by friends and neighbors.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Palatka Memorial Gardens (4070 Silver Lake Dr, Palatka, FL 32177).
