He was predeceased by: his former wife Pauline Tomlinson; his parents, C. T. Tomlinson and Nellie Tomlinson; his siblings, Burldine and James Howard Tomlinson; his son Robert D. Tomlinson; and his grandson Dennis Adam Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Tomlinson; and his sons, Cecil Wallace Tomlinson Jr., Lee Tomlinson and Michael Tomlinson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
