With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel A. Martinez of Palatka, Florida, born in Tampa, Florida, who passed away on October 5, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine G. "Katie" Martinez; and his parents, Jose Martinez and Marina Hevia Martinez. He is survived by: his children, David Martinez (Kris) of St. Simons Island, GA, Bruce Martinez and Arlene; his grandchildren, Kyle Martinez (Ellen), Caitlin Burge (Jason), Daniel Carter Martinez (Michaela), Jacob Martinez, Taylor Haines (Carter) and Anna; and his great grandchildren, Elliot Daniel Martinez and Lily Martinez.
In lieu of flowers, it was Danny's request that memorial donations be sent to the Haven Hospice Foundation, 4200 NW 90th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606 or to the Rodeheaver Foundation, 380 Boys Ranch Road, Palatka, FL 32177.
