He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary L. Smith, Sr. and Brenda Foster Smith; and his siblings, Nathan Smith and Annette Smith. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Tringle Smith of Palatka; his children, Brandon L. Smith, James J. Smith and Taylor M. Schultz (Austin) of Palatka; his brother Danny Smith (Sandra) of Palatka; his grandchildren, Gabriel Schultz, Elizabeth Schultz and Lillian Schultz; his stepmother Helen M. Smith of Palatka; his niece Alexandra Smith; his nephew Gage Smith; and his cousins, Kellie Hamann and Rhonda Bleise.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Johnson-Overturf Chapel (307 S Palm Ave, Palatka, FL 32177). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Palatka Memorial Gardens (4070 Silver Lake Dr, Palatka, FL 32177).
