In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact George had on those he encountered along his journey. Though George may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his son Michael Knowles; and his parents, Ernest Knowles and Mary Knowles. He is survived by: his wife Melba Jean Knowles of Palatka; his children, Tim Knowles (Saundra) of Palatka and Susie Miller (Harvey) of St. Augustine; and his stepchildren, Marvin Dyess (Susie) of Palatka, Ron Taylor (Teri) of Palatka and Cynthia Dyess of Palatka. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, it was George's request that memorial donations be sent to Shriners Children, P.O. Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30349 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501.
