She is survived by: her husband Ben Bates; her sons, Benjie Bates (Kari) of St. Augustine and Michael Bates of Palatka; her brother Jack Pelham (Roger Marks) of Atlanta; and her grandchildren, Blair Bates and Brayden Bates.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (501 Oak St, Palatka, FL 32177). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill West Cemetery S. (2900 Crill Ave, Palatka, FL 32177).
