He is survived by: his parents, Gary and Donna; his brother Mike; his sister-in-law Julie Houts; his sister Amy Gilfriche; his brother-in-law Chris Gilfriche; his nieces and nephews, Joanna Houts Patel (Sunny Patel), Matthew Houts, Le'a Gilfriche and Tyler Gilfriche; and his aunt Sandra Houts of Des Moines. He is also survived by numerous cousins, uncles and aunts.
