We are sad to announce that, on April 7, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Laura Black of Palatka, Florida, born in Benicia, California. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Laura may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She is survived by: her close friends, Jacki, Betty, Elaine, Sue and Pat; her husband George Black; her niece Laurie Martin (David); her nephew Jerry Weeden (Mona); and her grandchildren, Dawson Black (Brandi) and Nicole Black (Timothy Chech). She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews, a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, the "Jo Ash Chest" fund.
