He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnie Russ and Kathleen Russ; his former wife Cynthia D. Russ; and his siblings, Phyllis Rebecca Russ, Barbara Ann Russ Smith, Sharon Russ, William Russ, Roy Monroe Russ and Harvey Russ.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brandy Nicole Cooper (Cecilia Cooper-Marshall) and Heather Meier (Troy); his siblings, Johnie Linwood Russ, Lucille Russ Smith, Geraldine Russ Gibson, Joanne Russ Smith and Bonnie Russ; his grandchildren, Kirra, Xavier, Bella, Zoe, Ethan and Carter; and his friend Loren "Bud" Conner.
