He is survived by: his wife Milagros "Rosie" Matthews; his daughters, Michele Payne (Morris Payne) and Sharon Burton (Maurice Burton); his stepdaughter Gena; his grandchildren, Vanessa Matthews, Jaiden Matthews, Breanna Payne and Morris-J Payne; his great grandchildren, Morris, Jay and Carson Payne; and his siblings, Ray Hooper, Mary Coursey, Ardenia Stokes and Dixie Moucheron.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Florida Memorial (5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Florida Memorial Gardens (5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955).
