Lona-Rae (Martin) Williams Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Lona-Rae (Martin - Llapur) Williams (Palm Bay, Florida), born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on February 6, 2022 at her home in Palm Bay, Florida, at the age of 69.
Lona-Rae was a medical secretary in Oncology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Hospital in New York. She retired to Palm Bay with her late husband and parents in 1996.
Lona-Rae loved animals and had a numerous amount of dogs. She was an avid collector of antiques, Disney Cells and statues. When at home, she was always renovating something herself. When away from the home, she loved going to Walt Disney World with her husband and grandchildren. Her favorite day of the year was Christmas and seeing the smiles on the faces of her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, David D. Williams; parents, Gloria Franceschini Martin and Thomas Jarmon Martin, Sr.; sister Patricia Marie Martin and brother, Thomas Jarmon Martin, Jr., who passed two days after her.
Survivors include daughter, Bridget LLapur Cohen; son, Al LLapur and wife Desiree; grandchildren, Nicholas LLapur, David LLapur, Rachel Cohen, Amanda Cohen and Sarah Cohen; nieces Gina Messler-Weber, Tracey Martin, and nephew TJ Martin, as well as many sister-in-laws and cousins.
