She is survived by: her granddaughter Bonnie; her children, Tanya Madix of Melbourne, Dr. Patrice Cohen (Roger Cohen) of Albany and Richard C. Karr, Jr. (Jennifer) of Merritt Island, Florida; her granddaughters, Dr. Amanda Cohen-Mostafavi (Behrooz Mostafavi) of Cary and Ariana Madix; her great grandchildren, James P. Karr-Pantaleo of South Windsor and Zelda Mostafavi of Cary; and her sister Annette Kintigh (David Kintigh) of Satellite Beach, Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
