He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Garing and Marie Garing (Bessler) of Kentland, Indiana.; his sons, Timothy and John Garing; and his siblings, Harry, Bob, Buster Garing and Marilyn Mathew.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Garing (Donahue); his daughter Shawn; his grandchildren, Jacob, Payton Garing, Samantha Garing and Rachel Paulus; his siblings, Richard Garing, Marsha and Marlene Sondgerath; and his sisters-in-law, Helen and Barbara Garing.
