He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Ethel Thompson Jr. (Colwell); his siblings, Robert Thompson and Gertrude Ann; and his nephew Allen Willey.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Thompson; his stepdaughters, Kathleen Sheel (Sig), Marilyn Wahl (Joe) and Kim Reyka; and his sister Betsy Willey (Robert). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
