He is survived by: his wife Paula Hon DeHart Blankenship; his sisters, Elsie Jordan, LaVera Adams and Geraldine Sturgis; and his sons, Forrest Leslie Blankenship (Darlene Stanton) of Chicago and Darryl Joseph Blankenship of Brooklyn.
