He is survived by: his wife Freda Hamblin Towles; his children, Kenneth Wade Towles (Donna), Cheri Towles Wenhold (Stewart) and Jason Mead Towles (Shannon); and his siblings, Dolores Cole and Ray Towles. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
