He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Edmunds and Fannie Edmunds (Hairston); and his siblings, Gerald R. Edmunds Jr. and Lillian McCray (Edmunds). He is survived by: his children, Thomas H. Edmunds, Jr. (Audra) and Caryn Edmunds; his grandchildren, Brittany Edmunds, Bryce Edmunds, Briana Edmunds and Danyelle Perry; his great grandchild Azharia Boyd; and his siblings, Roger Edmunds, Allan Edmunds and Janice Edmunds-Wells.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, any contributions may be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America or the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
