He was predeceased by : his parents, Perry T. Slabaugh and Clara Slabaugh (Schrock); his wife Miriam Bauman; and his brothers, Wayne and Jerry Slabaugh.

He is survived by : his child Dallas Slabaugh (Shannon) of Palm Coast; his granddaughter Denise Bower (Noah) of South Bend; his siblings, Rosemary Gardner (Ron) and Phil Slabaugh (Esther); his grandchildren, Halie Slabaugh, Jeremiah Bower (Haley), Christina Lemelin and Matthew Bower; and his great grandchild Mallory Lemelin.
