He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mitchell Reid Sr. and Louise Marvin Reid. He is survived by: his wife Leila; his children, Steve and Janet; and his brother Robert (Elaine). He is also survived by 4 nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baldwin Brothers Ormond Beach Chapel (1185 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
An accomplished surgeon, Bill was proud of his contributions to medical literature, including a publication in the *Archives of Surgery* (Vol. 84: 34–40, Jan. 1962) on the use of fibrinolysin in resolving localized thrombosis.
