He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Hayes and Eileen Hayes; his wife Vicki Blanchard; his children, Jessica Hayes (Drew Needham) of Sturbridge and Daniel Hayes (Ashley) of Gardner; his stepdaughter Sarah Relihan (Shane) of Easton; his siblings, James Hayes (Marie) of Westford, Jean Carpenter (late Dorman Carpenter) of Florida and John Hayes Jr. (Jeaneen Hayes) of Arlington; his grandchildren, Avery Leahy, Kellen Leahy, Hayden Stivers and Wesley Needham; and his nephew Peter Butler. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Cape Club of Sharon (100 Cpe Clb Dr, Sharon, MA 02067).
