He was predeceased by: his parents, William McGrath and Bridget McGrath (Walsh); and his brother Joseph McGrath. He is survived by: his wife Marcelina McGrath (Cardoso); and his siblings, Mary Coogan, William McGrath of Clearwater, FL and Joanne LaMonica of Medford, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
