We announce the death of Joan Ruth Lyons (Palmetto Bay, Florida), who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 90. Joan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rex Lichtenberger and Ruth Lichtenberger; her husband Bernard G. Lyons; her children, Jeanne, Kathy, Maureen and John; her sister Ruth; her grandchildren, Sean, Shannon, Megan, Meryl and Emily; her great grandchild Ronin; and her son-in-law John Powers.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Richard Catholic Church (7500 SW 152nd St, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157). A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
