He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar Pond and Caroline Mohr Pond; his sisters, Mary Pond, Aileen Pond Barley and Eleanor Pond Long; and his half-siblings, Dorothy Pond Foust and Vernon O. Pond.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Rivers Pond; his daughters, Laura Pond and Kerry Pond of Tallahassee; his siblings, Lonavene Pond Dennis (Murray) and Richard Pond; Bogie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his and Laura's puppy.
The military honors will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Tallahassee National Cemetery (5015 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311). A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home (1737 Riggins Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32308).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bainbridge Humane Society or the FSU Library Development Fund.
