He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hardy and Mary Hardy of Lawsonham Pennsylvania; his sister Martha Hawk; and his former wife Jeannine Axton Hardy. He is survived by: his wife Lillie Moore Hardy; his brother Jerry Hardy (Fran); and his children, David Hardy (Mary Jo), Valerie Hesse (James), Scott Hardy (Claire), Nicholas Hardy, Keith Bloodworth (A. J.) and Ben Bloodworth (Michelle). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home (1737 Riggins Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32308). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
