With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vance S. DeVane of Panama City Beach, Florida, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Vance left this world on July 13, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon DeVane and Loraine DeVane of Enterprise, AL; his brother Bruce DeVane (Jo) of Enterprise, AL; and his in-laws, Billy and Dot Helms of Enterprise, AL..
He is survived by: his wife Beverly DeVane; his daughter Emily DeVane of Smyrna, GA; his niece Tiffany; and his siblings-in-law, David Helms of Dothan, AL, Brenda Helms Wilks of Enterprise, AL and Janet Helms Purvis of New Brockton, AL. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory (1301 Neal Metcalf Rd, Enterprise, AL 36330). A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Meadowlawn Cemetery (6121 AL-27, Enterprise, AL 36330).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Paws Atlanta pawsatlanta.org, in memory of Vance and his beloved grand-dog, Charlie, who proceeded him in death January 2, 2023.
