He was predeceased by: his parents, William Erskine Bruner and Eva Rebecca Watford Bruner; and his siblings, Melvin Bruner, Ginny O'Neal and Margaret Runnels.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Andrew Bruner. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
