She was predeceased by: her parents, Jillie Avery and Fannie May Davis; her husband John I. Smith; her son Douglas Avery Smith; and her brother Herman Lambert.

She is survived by: her children, Johnny M. (Micky), Thomas (Tommy), Patsy (Pat) and Serena Hall (Benjamin); her granddaughter Amy Dodge (Jim); and her great grandchild Dax Dodge.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Panama City Lions Club in memory of Bertha M. Smith.
