She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Shelton; her daughter Tanya Shuman; her parents, Leonce Elie and Frances Elie; and her siblings, Lawrence Elie, Martin Elie and Dianne Richardson (Grimes).
She is survived by: her grandson Jordan Shuman; her son-in-law Chris Shuman (Kristen); and her siblings, Melvin Elie and Lee Ann Clark. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
