He is survived by: his wife Barbara Black Hicks; his children, Alexandra McKay Harrell (Keith) and David Ashton Hicks (Danielle); his sister Rebecca Tesch (Judy); his niece Nicole Tesch; and his grandchildren, Josie Mae, Emma Grace, Lucie Ann and Benjamin Henry.
