He is survived by: his wife Jean; and his children, Donald O'Neal (Sally) of Lafayette, CA, Caroline Dell (David) of Oakwood, GA, Kevin O'Neal (Wanda) of Cary, NC and Brian O'Neal (Lita) of Johnson City, TN.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He served on the board of the Bay County Education Foundation, establishing a continuing scholarship.
