He was predeceased by: his mother Geraldine Farrar Thacker (Thomas); his former wife Patricia Thacker; his stepson Robert Wheaton; his brother Eldon Thacker; his in-laws, Carol Thacker, Joe Moore, Johnnie Phillips and Jenny Thacker; and his nephew Daniel Phillips.
He is survived by: his father William Carter Thacker; his daughter Charissa Thacker; his fiancé Shirley Yohn; his siblings, Theo Moore and Carter Thacker; his in-laws, Bill Posey (Debra) and Sherry Phillips; his siblings' children, Christa Thacker (Jason), Kelly Thacker-Bobalik (Andrew), Rebecca Sweeny, Robyn Parker, Jennifer Green (John), Mitchell Moore (Suzanne), Max Moore (Rosalba), Steven Phillips (Sue), Jason Posey (Stacey) and Jamie Posey; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Anna Oaks (Brandon), Danielle Todd (Dillon) and Kaylee Green.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home (2403 Harrison Ave, Panama City, FL 32405). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
