Lauri Ann (Mahan) Smith Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lauri Ann Smith (Panama City, Florida) who passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 57. Lauri is predeceased by her husband, Rodney Leroy Smith. They were married on July 2, 1982 in Mobile, AL. She is survived by her children Natashia Lynn Mahan, Maison Scott Smith, Jayson Matthew Smith and Daisy Autumn Cline. She is lovingly remembered by her friends that she grew close to in Panama City Beach, FL and her seven grandchildren. She was born in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Foley High School and went on to earn a culinary degree at Faulkner Community College.
She enjoyed being around her family, dolphins and going to the beach. She was a very giving person and was always willing to help those in need. She taught us to slow down and take in the beauties of the world. She told us to never hang up the phone with our siblings without saying I love you. She was dedicated to her faith and kept binders of her favorite bible verses. She loved to travel and believed there wasn't a single problem that couldn't be fixed with music. Her favorite song was "Keep On Smilin" by Wet Willie and that is the way she lived her life. She was proud of her children and spoke of them often. She saved everything from an award her son, Maison won in band and her daughter, Daisy's first poem she wrote when she was six. She loved anything and all things beach and passed that love to her children.
Her children will be later scattering her ashes and having a private service. No flowers or donations are requested.
