He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Kidd (Moyer) and Stanley Kidd; his siblings, Edward Kidd Jr., Edna Collins and Marion Smith; his grandson Nathan Nelson; and his great grandchild Brady Medlock.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Kidd; his daughters, Susan McNiel and Betsy Nelson (Patrick); his grandchildren, Samantha McNiel, Amanda Barbosa (Michael), James McNiel (Taira), Kate Nelson, Garrett Nelson, Noah Nelson, Grace Nelson and Nicholas Nelson; his great grandchildren, Charlotte Medlock, Rhett Robinson, Riley Robinson, Benjamin Barbosa, Christopher Barbosa, RJ McNiel and Leanna McNiel; and his sisters, Barbara Jones, Amanda VanZant and Barbara Anne Kidd.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Panama City, Florida, in Al's memory.
