He is survived by: his children, Ashley Kincade Ballou (Aaron) and Jason Thomas; his grandchildren, Jacelynn Burke and Cora Ballou; his siblings, Susan Thomas, Heidi Thomas (Tommy), Kay Russell and Richard Thomas; and his friend Merrill Sykes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
