He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Gainer and Irene Gainer; and his siblings, Norma and Edwin Powers Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathie Dutton Gainer; his children, Joy Marie O'Daniel (Dave) and Bradley Scott Gainer; his stepchildren, Kristi Saulmon (Mark), Deanna Smyth (Jeremy), Brittnie Holt (Rich) and Scott Saulmon; his siblings, Debbie Warren, Teresa Yzaguirre and Charles Colley; and his grandchildren, Mariah, Jacob, Hannah, Emily, Lexi, Kyron, Veda and James. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
